Just a quick heads up to let you know that the OUTDOORSmagic
competition to win a great new Paramo Fuera windproof smock
ends at the end of next week, which means you have just seven days to
get your entry in.

don't know why I'm telling you this, actually I want it for myself as
we haven't used the smock version of the Fuera yet. We've reviewed
the jacket version in the past though and found it 'right up at the
high end of the breathability scale'. It can also be comnbined with
other Paramo layers to form a completely waterproof clothing
system.
The smock is much more streamlined with a pointy top to reduce air resistance in flight - it only looks like a Nazgul
in the pic, honest - and at a claimed 290 grammes neatly sidesteps one of our
main misgivings over the jacket, its relatively high weight. It also
has a more up to date cut with a short front and drop tail rear for
use while running and biking.
Anyhow, closing date is 31 May, so get your competition mouse
clicking fingers in gear now. Oh, and don't count on winning, cos the
