If you've just discovered OUTDOORSmagic through our association
with the Trail Talk readers' letters page then welcome to the site -
have a poke around, there's a busy forum, our unique user review
section and around 2000 editorial articles including news, reviews
and features.
If, on the other hand, you're wondering what we're going on about,
then check out page 31 of the new issue of Trail where there's a
Mountain Equipment Firefly Jacket - pictured - up for grabs for the
best letter submitted this month, courtesy of OUTDOORSmagic.com.
The Firefly's made from the excellent Gore-Tex New Paclite fabric,
but differs from most Paclite jackets in being cut and featured as a
full-on mountain jacket, rather than a short multi-activity
style.
That means you get a longer cut, big harness-friendly pockets with
water-resistant zips, a helmet-sized mountain hood for climbing or
biking use plus it's as neatly cut as all the current Mountain
Equipment range.
At 375 grammes for a medium, while it's not quite as light as
some, it's still pretty damn impressive. We've been using one for the
last month and it's rapidly becoming our favourite lightweight
jacket. Full test coming soon.
So if you want to win one, you'd best get hold of a copy of Trail
and write and award-winning letter. Good luck...
