Win £280 of Vango Gear

It's all change on the OUTDOORSmagic competition page. In the last month we've given away six pairs of Tevas, a weekend for two in the Austrian Alps, a Highlander outdoor pack, a Haglofs Tight Evo rucksack, and five Cicerone guides, including the best-selling 'Scotland's Mountain Ridges'. But in case you've missed out, we now have £280 worth of Vango gear to give away as well.

The haul is made up of a Vango TBS Spirit 200 Lite tent and a Venom 225 down sleeping bag. For those with weight on their minds, the tent will add an extra 2.25kg to your pack, which isn't the lightest two man tent on the market, but it's not bad. And if you're wondering why the emphasis in this competition is on lightweight gear, it's because Vango are now sponsors of the Original Mountain Marathon, better known as the KIMM, and not at all well known as an event where heavy packs cut the mustard.

We can also announce that the Cicerone guides are currently on their way to Mike Taylor, who now faces a long journey from his home in Shropshire up to the north of Scotland, to tackle the 'Mountain Ridges' detailed in his new guide.
