Scramble, Scramble, Scramble :-)

Fancy something that's harder than walking, but not quite climbing? That'll be scrambling then - and here's a load of info to help you get started :-)

Where does walking stop and scrambling start? For most of us it's that point where you have to start using your hands regularly to progress safely up the hill.

Where does climbing start? That's a more difficult one - the harder grades of scrambling aren't so very different from easy climbs and what you feel is an acceptable risk varies from person to person depending on nerve, ability and experience. Don't think that because something's a scramble, you don't need a rope...
