The BBC is reporting that an 11-year-old boy has now died after falling around 100 feet on Snowdon.

He was apparently with a group including his father close to Crib y Ddysgl, part of the Snowdon Horseshoe route. The BBC story says that members of the Llanberis MRT asssited, but a helicopter was unable to reach it because of low cloud.

Desperately sad news. Our sympathies to the victim's family and friends.

Very, very sad indeed. The lad was far to young to die in such a way. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
