Double Kendal Winner Tonight

Sheffield showing for Grand Prize winner plus five other films.

Just a last minute heads up that tonight - Tuesday -  is a rare opportunity for anyone based in spitting distance of Sheffield to see 'Alone On The Wall' which won both the Grand Prize and Best Climbing Film categories at this year's Kendal Mountain Festival.

The 24-minute  film, which is reportedly astonishing, isn't available on DVD and is an episode from a series made for National Geographic television by Sender Films and is part of the Best Kendal programme showing tonight at the Showroon Cinema in Sheffield.

Also showing are The Cable Car, which took the Judges' Special Prize and One Crazy Ride, winner of the Best Mountain Culture Film.

The programme starts at 8.15pm, tickets are £6.50 concessions, £7.50 full. Box Office  0114 275 7727

There's also a further evening in Nottingham on Sunday 6 December at 8.30 pm and features the same programme as the first Sheffield evening including The Asgard Project. Venue is the Broadway Cinema, 14-18 Broad St, Nottingham, NG1 3AL. Tickets £6.50 concessions, £7.50 full
