It's Everest Night Tonight

BBC4 is showing over six hours of Everest-themed programmes this evening - Tuesday that is - it's got to beat watching Chelsea...

Just a quick heads up on BBC4's Everest Night which is on this evening, Tuesday, from 7pm and features over six hours of Everest-themed programming.

The programmes include Himalaya with Michael Palin, Everest ER - a visit to Everest's emergency hospital and 'the story of blind athlete Erik Weihenmayer's extraordinary ascent of the mountain' - and Reputations: Hillary and Tenzing.

Don't know if anyone's posted already but from 7:00 tonight (Tuesday 12 Sep) on BBC Four there is an evening of Everest inspired programmes - some repeated and some new which look excellent compared to the usual dross served up on TV.

Everest ER looks particularly good!
