Just a last chance reminder that this coming weekend is the one and only Kendal Mountain Film Festival and that there are still tickets available - with snow forecast for the Lakes that weekend as well :-)

The films are just the start of it though, there are also lectures with speakers like the legenday Yvon Chouinard - the father of modern ice climbing - Heinz Zak, one of the greatest mountain photographers ever, Himalayan veteran Kurt Diemberger and ice-climbing genius Jeff Lowe.

Then there are 70 of the best mountain films around from sharp shorts through to epic full-length adventures, plus an exhibition of mountain art, the winners of the film-making competition and the first Kendal Mountain Book Festival.

You can get the full details at www.mountainfilm.co.uk where you can also buy tickets online or call 01539 725133.
