A quick last minute heads up for London-based OMers who have the chance to catch Britain's most entertaining mountaineering speaker on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

Big wall and Patagonian winter epic specialist Andy Kirkpatrick is booked in for two dates in sarf London courtesy of Picturehouse Cinemas. He'll be presenting 'Beyond Extreme', which he describes as 'one man's fascinating journey from the mile high mountains of Patagonia to the chocolate river of Willy Wonka'.

The first date is Wed 26 April at the Ritzy Cinema, Brixton, Brixton Oval, SW2 1JG. Telephone: 08707 55 00 62.

Then on Thu 27 April, he'll be at the Clapham Picturehouse, 76 Venn Street London SW4 0AT. Telephone: 08707 55 00 61.

Kick-off is at 8.45pm and the price is £10.50 or £8.50 for members, which isn't cheap, but take it from us, Andy's the best climbing live act we've ever seen.
