Defy your conscience and stay up late tonight for the first of a
new series of Extreme Lives on BBC - oops, too late now.
'My Right Foot', 11.20pm , BBC1 tonight, Tuesday,
followed 22-year-old Berghaus-sponsored climber Leo Houlding from July
2002 to the present. During the film Leo badly broke his foot while
climbing on Cerro Torre in Patagonia, an injury which threatened to
stop him climbing, and the documentary covers his rehabilitation and
recovery from the injury.
Should be some great climbing sequences from Yosemite and Mexico,
plus the chance to see if Leo's reputation as a total party animal
with the looks of a young Jim Morrison is justified.
More about Leo here
on the Berghaus site.
Oh, how the world sees climbers, this is the BBC summary of the
programme:
'My Right Foot: Documentary following British climbing star Leo
Houlding's recovery from a career-threatening injury. Leo parties in
Ibiza but a tragedy forces him to rethink his life.'
