Newsletter - 12/10/06

This week we're thinking small in the OUTDOORSmagic newsletter - for the editorial, not the size of Colorado's mountains...

'Mer de Glass' by Mark Pillinger

We've been told that our newsletters are too long, so this one's much shorter. So short in fact that all we have time to do is tell you that there's a load of good stuff on the site right now, a classic Lakes walking route, some new gear and of course, lots of user reviews, great gallery pics, forum chat and, well, don't take our word for it - have a look.

And have a great outdoors weekend,

Jon and the team at OUTDOORSmagic.com

Scarpa Nepal Walking Boot
'Well made, grippy, and the rand is great for kicking things out of the way. They aren't the softest under foot - the tongue can be a little hard to set. If you change the footbed and get a good fit you won't be disappointed though.' More here.

Buffalo Active Lite Shirt
'The underarm zips are ideal for maintaining comfort/air flow both on the move and when stopping for a brew. This is a no nonsense piece of kit and waterproof as well - what more can you want?' More here.

Montane Dynamo Jacket
'A nice piece of kit. I bought it for autumn and spring when you might just need a reasonable mid layer that isn't too hot. It works perfectly over a light baselayer. It's also very breathable - the jacket has a reversible zip for ventilation that works rather like those used by Paramo.' More here.
