What with walkers and climbers natural affinity for snow and ice, we thought you might like the new Royal Mail Christmas stamps featuring pictures of ice sculptures by renowned Scottish artist Andy Goldsworthy.

There are six rather nice stamps in the set for Christmas - so you'll be seeing a lot of them - all of them depicting Goldsworthy ice sculptures in natural settings. Four of them are, apparently from Dumfriesshire, one from Japan and one from an island in the Arctic Circle. They're on sale now in Post Offices and you can find out more about the stamps and their creator on the Royal Mail web site and buy online if you want to.
