Are the 2008 results correct? I know that I have asked this before but the results page hasn't changed and there are a couple of 5hr+ legs which I don't recall!?!

Also, I am trying to see if the UTMB organisers will confirm what rating they will give to the two events - have you decided if you are going to credit L100 runners who made it past 52m checkpoint but didn't finish, with a L50m finish. If they decide that the 50 milers is harder than races like Thames Meander (which it is!) they might just give it 2 points and 3/4 for the L100. This would see me home!!

I will have to see if i can get a pink ticket for any of the training weekends!

p.s. you mentioned that some of the sponsors pulled out at the last minute this year. Can you confirm who actually sponsored the event this year. I have already bought kit from Lakes Runner since the event and would like to support the other sponsors.

Andy - it was a pleasure. I'm not sure what happened to my Dad's driving - he is normally less scary than that!

I was back in the Lakes last week with my family. Lots of mixed feelings as I was based just outside Ambleside and kept going past the legs that I missed. It made me determined to return next year with a more sensible travel plan and to finish the 100 off!

On Saturday I was walking round the Fairfield Horseshoe. It had finally stopped raining and the views were superb. You could see from Coniston right round to the hills above Pooley Bridge. For the first time, I felt a real sense of pride and achievement in having covered so much ground despite the conditions. It really did look a long way!!

I want back to Lakes Runners to buy some kit for my son. Such nice people and great kit. It's always a pleasure to return their support. This is now my first stop in Ambleside for any mountain/running purchase. Top shop!
