Yep, the Climbers Shop are your best bet for rucksacks.  They also do free delivery on their website if you really can't face shopping.

From experience the guys in there are all active in the outdoors and really know their stuff.

Paramo bite tabs = pain in the ass.

The worst feature on my otherwise  brilliant Velez Smock.  Please Paramo stick to standard cuffs, preferably with  press studs and not just velcro.

Can't see what all the fuss is about.  they can't jam maps and charts and they've been around for centuries.

Why are we so reliant on gizmos these days.

it certainly won't endanger lives like some of you guys think.

Unfortunately ME are no longer making rucksacks and apparently don't have any plans to make any in future.

I agree with Matt C though.  The Pod Black Ice is a far superior pack, as is the Crux AK47.

Neither of these packs are cheap though, but they will last a looonnnggg time.

Also got my Akto from Kentdale but have heard a rumour that they may have closed down.Hope not as I always enjoy going into the shop when I am up that way.

Unfortunately Kentdale Rambler is no more, and is now a Cafe Nero.  Kendal doesn't have any 'serious' outdoor shops now.  Unless you think F & T are a serious outdoor shop??

If you're looking for an 'Akto' the Climbers Shop in Ambleside have them for £289.  They also do most of the hilleberg range.  That is a serious outdoor shop by the way.
