I'm with Micheal Dray on this one.

I also use the Vango one man set and have found it flawless.  The copper bottoms really help heat things up quick, and the shiny copper bottom on the frying pan doubles as a shaving mirror for me, and I use the frying pan as my plate if I'm cooking a pudding also.

Parky,

"out of interest, the scene grant decscribed. if you videod (sp?) that and sent it to the police would they do anything? after all, looks like an easy nick."

Yeah, but the way the law operates these days, the cops would have probably nicked me instead for using a phone camera whilst driving..

Now....just to add fuel to the fire....

Yesterday, as I set off from Blandford for home in Yorshire I stopped off to fill up with diesel........£1.30 a bl**dy litre but that's another issue totally.

Anyway...back to the point.

A few hundred yards out of the fuel station I came to a round about....rule say "give way to traffic coming from your right..."  I entered the round about needing the third exit, and as I approached the second exit I noticed a Toyota MPV arroaching way too fast so I backed off and hit the brakes.  The Toyota shot stright out, carved up both lanes and went straight round taking the fourth exit.

What really shocked me, was that it was a young woman driving it, it was full of kids of different ages and sizes in school uniforms, and the women driver was driving one handed, mobile phone to her right ear held by her shoulder and lighting a fag with the other hand.

Where the hell are the traffic cops when you need them.....'cos flippin' speed cameras are not going to stop bad driving like this.  Then it also struck me that she was obviousley on the school run home, and quite probably not all the kids were hers.  If so, I hope to god those kids parents find out and take her to task.

I drive in excess of 40,000 miles each year in the job I do, and I have 3 golden rules:

1.  NEVER, trust anyone who wears a hat (of any type) in a car, especially flat caps, trilby's and baseball caps.

2.  ALWAYS assume that the other drivers around you are complete idiots and are out to kill you.

3. ALWAYS check for a motorbike and cyclist first for any manouver involving use of junctions and/or mirrors.

The first two rules have been hard learnt over the years with too many close calls to remeber, and the third rule from my early years riding bicycles and motorbikes, getting knocked off by incompetant drivers and suffering broken legs, ribs fingers etc because of thier stupidity and ineptitude.
