I use 2mm Dyneema for extra guy lines, (not for the corner struts), with mini Linelocks.
As for the guying point talking about, I use a long guy so doesn't hit outer. I don't use poles, I suppose if you could find some you could use stick to same effect.
My pitching method depends on whether it's windy or not.
If not, put pole in, but secured in only one side, pitch out one end, loosely and one end of other end loosely. Raise pole, put in unsecured corner, start to tighten ends, adjusting where necessary. Then tighten pole guys, and make a final check.
If windy, I'll loosely peg out all four ends, raise pole, tighten end that's into wind, tighten other end, tighten pole guys. Then go round and tighten till it's very taut. If it's raining, just before I turn in, I'll go round and tighten all the guys. Usually means I don't have get up to tighten during the night.

Err..... A wee bit more now after last stroll round block, (29.3mls). It's da last wee bit as is uphill e struggles on, then, depending on what GPS/map you use I live at 153 to 197m and have to come om fra arooud 30mish.
