I find wearing my salopettes for work as a Ranger very comfortable. I need to replace them now and it looks like Mountain Equipment and Rab are not offering them anymore.
Does anyone know of any stock of the Latok or Kongurs available, maybe some shops have odd ones left ? Looking for medium sized probably.
Its a shot in the dark,I know..but you never know..
Im interested in either the Hedgehog Mid GTX or the Vindicator Mid GTX.As far as possible I want to be able to take one pair on activity days and weekends.Ive read TNF website and its seems the Hedgehog is the closest to a "true allrounder"..The weight difference is not that great,so I was wondering would the Vindicator be more robust ?
Thanks for any comments.
I should say "activities" would be walking, light hiking (day etc),odd clambering over rocks, maybe a little MTB.I have bespoked footwear for each specific activity.
When I mailed Bigstone they were very helpfull.I did explain what i had done, and they said that washing in Grangers 2-1 followed by tumble drying would solve it.
I rewashed the Gamma in techwash only,to try to "get rid" of the TX Direct and I expect to get some Grangers today.
Yesterday I washed my Montane Superfly ( Event) and my XCR North face Mountain jacket in TX Direct, tumbled both and they bead like a polythene bag..very happy.
I also ironed them a bit so this must have helped also.
