Thanks Ifenbo.I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive alternative to overtrousers and these caught my eye in a recent booklet from Craghoppers.They are on offer at £36 (exc. p&p) from Craghoppers up to 02/01/12.

I was able to try a pair this a.m. and they were not for me.I need a fairly generous  fit like Craghoppers Originals.The men's Stealls are lower cut and not as full around the hips and seat as I need.Also I have to be able shorten the leg length even with their Short model!The bottom of the leg has a velcro closure and a taped hem on the inside which would make alteration too difficult.

The search goes on!

These are a new item in mens and womens fit and are stretch trousers (not overtrousers).Has anyone used them or seen any reviews,please?

I phoned Terra Nova and bought the fleece mitts described in my thread and they are ideal.

I read through all I could find on the various Hoody models.Eventually went for the Rab Photon Hoody.The size L which the Rab size chart shows as 34in. waist  is OK around my 36 in. waist  over a couple of layers.

Haven't given it a real test yet.

The care label says to Dry Clean.Anyone tried other methods?
