I purchased 6 Vaude Hogan tents a couple of years ago for my Scouts. They have had roughly equal usage but one has developed a porus groundsheet. Can't find any holes but even damp ground filters through. Does anyone think Nikwax TX Direct spray or similar waterproofing would help?

Has anyone any suggestions for gluten free backpacking food. One of my Scouts has signed up for the DoE award this year so I need some practical suggestions for him. Most of the websites give wonderful menus to produce in your kitchen but nothing for single pot production.

I have the Karrimor 45+10 and it is excellent, however the shape of the 65+15 did not suit me at all, I felt as though it was pulling me backwards! Thus I have a Macpac Ascent and it is great. Loads of capacity and a tough material. The Size 2 is fine for me (5' 8" tall) but is is worth checking as it depends on back length.

Would the Rab bag be any good for use in a snow hole. I am doing the Winter ML course next year and will need something suitable.
