We are now taking bookings for the next weekend course in mountain and outdoor first aid run at Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team HQ. The courses raise funds for the team and provide a low cost solution to those needing the certification for various outdoor-related activities.
The courses are based at WMRT’s headquarters near Penistone in the North of the Peak Distrcit (J35A of the M1). The course is run by full time first aid instructor and Woodhead team member Wayne Thackray of Blackhill Training, and has been accepted for all MLTE requirements for SPA, ML etc, and is also accredited by Snowsports Scotland.
Course details as follows:
Dates: 17th to 19th April 2009
Cost: £95 per person.
Certification: Mountain and Outdoor First Aid Emergency First Aid for the Workplace
Cost includes: 2 nights accommodation at the HQ (basic facilities only, you would need sleeping bag and mat) and an evening meal on Saturday night.
