Just used the Katabatic Bristlecone bivi for a month under a tarp, in the North cascades, and was very happy with the performance, mesh window, side zip, internal attachments to stop your pad slipping around, and so light hardly new i had it in my pack, i had a medium long neoair and 20 degree WM sleeping bag in it with plenty of room to use the bag as a quilt, hope that's some help.
Ordered a nest for my duomid a year ago, gave sean a date to complete my order a few weeks ago or a full refund, that date has come and gone with no reply, so will have to see if i can get my cash back without considering legal avenues. I would prefer my inner for my duomid but i think waiting a year is more than long enough.
Not sure of the differences between ist and 2nd generation storm tents, but i have the 2nd generation, the foam spacers on mine are the popper type, Carol also offered a replacement set of poles if i have any further problems,
Thanks all for your replies, was in touch with Carol of crux, also had an email from Tom Gannon of scottish mountain gear to say that a few connectors were in the post, which i received today all free of charge, Great customer service, well impressed, also crux are in the process of changing from yunan scandium to DAC poles, again thanks all.
