I had a coated sigg bottle in my toolbox that i forgot about with undiluted orange squash in it and found that after six or eight months it had attacked and pitted the coating. The squash was unusable. The bottle still seems ok with water.
I use ones made by Wolf. I got them from a company near you but have since seen them on Amazon. They were cheeper than a lot on the market (£130) but still seem good value for money and certainly do the job.
I got my Solo from Surplus and Outdoors. They are nothing fancy but excellent value for money. If you do get one, I'd advise you to cut an inch or so out of the center of the small pole to relieve the stress. If you want details of how I modified mine then PM me.
Devon and especially Dartmoor is one of my favourite walking areas. I have only just returned from a few very wet days near Tavistock. I'm hoping sometime to walk the Dartmoor section of the two moors way with a couple of wild camps along the way. If you are interested in meeting up in either Devon of Dorset sometime, then let me know.
