I have a Rab Photon, which is a fairly heavyweight Primaloft jacket. It's been excellent in winter and is very warm. To be honest, it's not much different from other synthetic jackets of a similar weight but it does have nice features: very good hood, massive pockets. Good value too - no more than about £110. Only gripe is that the zip isnt two-way which can be good for climbing use.
If you use chlorine dioxide tablets (rather than just chlorine tablets) there is no unpleasant taste to have to cover up which might make things easier. I see no reason why you can't use tablets in a bladder - they would work as normal. However, my fairly cheap Karrimor bladder does have yellowy stain marks from where I've dropped in purification tablets, although this of ocurse doesn't affect its functioning.
