Try Isle of Arran
It has Distillerie and Brewery
And when sober some great walks
Last week on a trip to Lakes I forgot to pack my sabretooth.
so quick stop at an outdoor shop I got a regatta soft shell, okay no hood, 2 hand pockets 1 small chest pocket and a high collar and less than £40.
What a surprise it was spot on. Coped with a windy wet day on Coniston.
Worn it most of this week. It's thicker than sabretooth and worth the money.
So if not desperate to have a hood then give regatta a look
I was in Coniston 2 weeks ago,all the car parks have changed to private companies.
installed number plate recognition cameras and charge from £1.80 for an hour
all have to pay including disable users.
I think car parks in national parks should be free
or if you have to pay then a day ticket to cover all carparks in within the national park
I think Garstang in Lancashire area is spot on.
Near M6 to go to Lakes and north.
Canal footpaths, coast nearby and Trough of Bowland on your doorstep.
