Firstly, apologies to RRR for cross-posting (I've recounted this in Windy).

You'll remember our little wintry wander on Caer Caradoc? Well, I nipped up there again this afternoon. In fact, it was part of my Salops day - I walked up The Wrekin first before going on to Caer Caradoc.
I parked in Church Stretton where we parked last time at SO458936 (that church near the crossroads on the A49.
Compared to last time, Caer Caradoc looked very green - not even remotely white. No spikes needed either. It was chilly, mind, with a goodly breeze blowing up the northwest slope. But apart from a bit of hail on the way down, I missed the worst of today's rain.
Yes, I find Wheresthepath good - but one reason I use Streetmap for simple stuff like searches and print-outs is to conserve Wheresthepath's limited allocation of OS tile fetches.
I think the ten Raven Crags you list are the ones Streetmap listerd when I searched earlier. That suggests Streetmap also uses the Opendata Gazeteeer
...day off for me so I'll drive over to Salops and walk up The Wrekin or Caer Caradoc in the rain..
As it turned out, I walked up The Wrekin and Caer Caradoc in dry interludes - for The Wrekin I parked in the layby at SJ637092 and for Caer Caradoc I parked at SO458936 near the Church Stretton crossroads on the A49.
'Twas blowy on the exposed northwest slopes of both the hills and there was a bit of bite to the wind. There were a few light showers while I was on The Wrekin and a few minutes of hail coming back down Caer Caradoc. But the showers were as nothing to the very heavy rain while I was driving to and from and between - by some miracle I managed to miss the shite weather and was on the hills between all the squalls and downpours
