The reason I ask is that a few years ago I was diagnosed and was treated by a couple of different doctors at my G.P. surgery. Finally ended up after about 14-18 months being asked/told to try taking all the different painkillers I have been prescribed (Tramadol, Co-codamol, Diclofenac) over the day – so a total of about 19 painkillers, all washed down with something strong (my choice – but at the time I would do anything to get some relief from the pain). Then ended up with a course of acupuncture as they were starting to grasp at straws by then.
I was finally sent to see a nurse at our local triage clinic who sussed out that there was something amiss. After 2 MRI scans it was discovered that I had a tumour in my spine. 1 operation (and 7 weeks) of work later all was sorted. The tumour had been growing and pressing on the nerve sending signals of pain in my lower back/groin/leg/foot all symptoms of sciatica I’m told so I can see where/how the mistake had been made.
I might be worth asking the question. Hope that you get sorted out soon, you have my sympathies.
Just checking in with Mr Simpson this evening for food & drink orders. Best post in advance that we likes our beer so has the warden got a trailer?? Will also find out if my good lady wife is coming along (as she now has a load of stuff to do for work). Update to follow…
