Using graduated filters you would still need a tripod for general landscape photography due to needing a very small aperture to get depth of field (therefore slow shutter speed required). Although I've heard the D80 is quite good with high ISO shooting so may not be as big a problem as with other cameras.

I would post these sorts of questions on a photography website to get some good answers.

Dpreview.com

is a very good site I used to use.

Thanks for the detailed response John. It was mainly clothing bargains I would be looking at. Millet clothing has got some good reviews in the magazines if I seem to remember correctly, so may look into some of their gear.

I have one and very impressed with it. The warmth to weight ratio is excellent and it has a very good map pocket and a very handy zip which goes right up to the neck to keep warmth in.

In reference to sizing I am an XL and their XL fit me (although a bit snug). I would say their clothing tends to be slightly on the small size so a medium would probably fit you fine.
