Windshields are definitely worth the weight. For an interesting set up with the Primus Eta Lite see Jorgen's post in Sweden where he has used a sheet of Aluminium wrapped part way around the Primus Eta pot as a windshield, it is held in place by the insulated cover. I have used the same setup and the system works well being easily stored under the cover for travelling. See the photos on this page http://www.fjaderlatt.se/2014/08/brooks-range-gear-reflections-on-stove.html
I have useded a Jetboil Sol Ti, for many trips see but now I use a Primus EtaLite and would never go back. The quality and efficiency of the Primus far exceeds the Jetboil, Not to mention Jetboil Customer Service.
