Y Gribin is a great scramble, it is as difficult as the East Ridge of Crib Goch, it is best in dry conditions as it does not drain well.

A nice gentle walk (7 miles) is above Dolgarrog start & finish at GR: SH731663 you head towards Llyn Eigiau cross the dams overflow stream turn left along a greener track and follow towards Coedty Reservoir, turn left to Rowlyn Isaf farm and then follow quiet lane back to car park.

I was on the summit of Tryfan last Sunday, I walked up the heather terrace. No problems. Only ice was on the western side as it hardly gets any sun.
