Joe90, Mole, there was no charge for the mods, but as Franco has confirmed the apex guy points are now standard.
For reference, I am 5' 7", and there is loads onf room in the Notch. I also tend to move around a lot in my sleep, and it's amazing how a pitch that seems flat initially ends up feeling like a ski slpoe in the night. I have room to put spare clothes at the foot end to stop me sliding down, and room at the head end for items I want at hand like kindle, phone, wash kit etc. and have plenty of clearance between my face and the inner.
I looked at both and settled for the Notch, very happy with the weight, space, and ease of pitch. I asked Henry to add extra guy line points to the apex at the pole sockets, and pegging points at the bottom of the fly half way along each panel. The extra guy lines from the apex really help stability in high winds. I thought these were now standard fit but can't see it mentioned on his web site.
I bought a pair of these Mountain Equipment stretch pants a year ago when on a combined business trip and walking break found I'd stupidly left walking trousers at home, so it was into the nearest Go Outdoors for whatever would fit. They've been brilliant, really comfortable and hard wearing, and on offer here at the moment but only small sizes.
