Its unlikely the phone manufacturers will ever pay any attention to the outdoors market, its just too small a niche to cost into the production of mass market products.

I saw on another forum comments that tesco were doing a lightweight down sleeping bag which was surprisingly good and very cheap.

I didn't bother with the cross poles, I have another tent more suitable for the requirements of armagedon.

I think the scarp1 would be fine for you, I am 6'2" and there is lots of room to spare. My only complaint about it would be that the packed length is a bit long, and of course that the floor is the slipperiest material know to thermarest, my 2 complaints would be.... I'll come in again.

I had thought of diluting some silicon and painting it onto the base of the mat to see if that gave it some grip.

My new tarptent scarp 1 is great. My neoair sleep mat is great. Unfortunatly when used together they are slippier than a bag of eels, which is stopping me from getting any decent sleep as I slip around and end up in the wall of the tent every 5 mins.

Does anyone have any tips for none damaging ways to add some friction between the mat and the tent floor?
