its certainly a very noble (if somewhat bad for business) attitude to have.

There are some valid points on this thread, but a load of ranting with no intelligence. If you are an expert climber/mountaineer and still need advice on which clothes to buy, you are brain dead. If anything, you should know roughly what you want - and use the sales staff for advice/tips. All shops will have those that know and those that don't. You don't go to waitrose and ask for a recommendation on what brand of toilet paper to buy do you? On a calmer note - I have bought from them, and also 9feet when they were around, and found them all to be fine. The gear was with me in a week. I bought my gear from their discount sections and got some great deals.

My dad knew two people who were in the middle of it all. One was hit by falling glass from one of the towers. Another was in one of the planes. Not nice at all.

Let's not forget that innocent people (some reports up to 4500) were killed in Afghanistan for this, and no crime or tragedy can justify their deaths.
