If you did the Cneifion Arete without gear you certainly won't need any on Clogwyn Y Person, unless you also start by climbing the nose direct which is bordering on V Diff. Clogwyn Y Person is technically easier, less exposed and less polished than the Cneifion Arete.
I use it as my regular descent route when I'm in that area and yes it is easy for a Grade 1 scramble. There are only two sections of proper scrambling, both in gullies, the rest of it is walking. The scrambling isn't that hard even though the ridge looks pretty dramatic from below.
Some photos on my old flickr page if they show up:
I would agree with most of the above comments. Even the easiest line is probably quite tricky for Grade 2. I climbed the nose which was bordering on V Diff then on the arete itself I took everything direct which made it a top end Grade 3/Grade 4 though there were definitely easier lines. It is quite a broad ridge so you can find your own route and tackle or avoid difficulties at will but the very fact that it's inescapable probably makes it more than Grade 2. The right hand gulley start also looks a bit tasty for Grade 2 when you factor in the exposure.
