I was thinking of buying a new watch and cant decide between the Suunto core all black and the Timex WS4..... Which watch is the best? I know the suunto is more expensive but if it works better I dont mind paying extra. can anyone help???

My Mountain equipment jacket has started to wet out so I bought some Nikwax spray. I wet the jacket and covered it with the spray, left it for a few mins and wiped off any excess. I then left the jacket to air dry.The following day it rained and it still wetted out. What am i doing wrong??
