Im pretty new to this forum, though not to the hills. Have done some meets before back in the good old days of the Trail forum before it self destructed, so not to total noob....... not been in the hills for a while, but managed to keep hold of a decent amount of my kit, so might be interested in joining you if there is room.
My other issue is I dont drive, so would anyone be passing through Mid Wales or Shrewsbury area to maybe blag a lift?
Long shot, but worth a try! I have a Rab Drillium in blue, size L, that I would ideally like to swap for a similar hardshell, in size M, preferably eVent, but Goretex considered. Or, if anyone is interested in buying, pm me an offer and then I might invest in one of the Karrimor eVent jackets..........
Its in superb condition, rareky used, and has just been washed (carefully!) and reproofed.
Bristly Ridge isnt too bad at all. I have been up Sinister Gully a few times, its the very top part and getting out of it that always s**ts me up, but then Im a bit of a wuss!! I often go a short way up the Miners path and take a gully that goes up the side, its a very pleasant and easy scramble.
