Without a doubt they are worth it. I struggled for years with Leki regular, Leki antishock, and others and just didn't get it. Then I got a pair of Lekisport anti-shock in Switzerland and they are marvellous - they are much less springy that the Leki, look cool, and have rubber (not plastic) handles. I use them going up and down and they make all the difference. And I'm only 42 ;-)

Has anyone tried the Rab Double Pile? They describe it as having a wind-resistant membrane inside the front and arms. Also, how about the Rab Cioch (although it does look pretty naff)?

Says it all, I'm 6'5" and so needs to be:

-> cut long'ish
-> stylish
-> very breathable

Not too fussed about the brand or the price, just needs to be the above. Thanks!

I won't wear anything other than Meindl and have a pair of Air Revolution 3 - light, comfortable, waterproof, the perfect fabric shoe. Also have a pair of Makalu's which cover tougher terrain. Simply the best!
