I got one of these in the sale just after Christmas, been very impressed with it so far, it's my first return to Goretex for years as my last couple of jackets have been eVent. like you say it's surprisingly light (although not as light as my old SuperDru) but offers lots of nice touches, great protection and amazing build quality...oh and some rather nice bright colours too...ive got the glow one with the blue zips.
I was a little worried about the pit zips and noticing them when wearing short sleeved baselayers underneath and their general flexibility but so far so good, most of the time i've not noticed they were there.
Just got one as it was on offer and had free delivery!
Thought it would be a good alternative to my now battered and discontinued berghaus smoulder hoodie which i really do love.
Its a bit closer fitting and thinner than the smoulder but the hood/neck combo is a bit better and the bright blue/orange is a better than the all black of the smoulder.
Just need to decide if the fit is too close or not before I decide to keep it or not...i'm not the most athletic looking person lol
I used to use the yellow mammutt pillow but the valve went, ive now got a softskin one, its loads better IMO
I did a blog on it a while back here http://blog.andrewmogg.co.uk/walking-and-hiking/hiking-gear/mammut-ajungilak-air-pillow-vs-mammut-ajungilak-soft-skin-pillow/
I have a covert that i got in the sale...infact i have two one is the cardigan type, both were half price and they are toasty warm but ive never worn either on the hill.
i also have a berghaus smoulder hoody which is fantastic, its thin, warm and has a brilliant ninja style hood, fits over a base layer and under just about all my other gear....its been a constant companion over the last year or so.
