I have the Aku croda. So far I'm pleased. Very light and extremely comfortable from the off. Padding around the ankle makes them a bit stiff so I would still prefer to wear shoes but maybe I will get used to boots as I've only just started wearing them.

Aku sizing is small so you'll need to go half a size up

I got the Rab Neutrino Lite and the sizing is huge. I am 5'8, slim build so I got a small (ordered online for only £100). When I put my hands in the pockets they don't reach the bottom (which is kind of frustrating) and if I wear it over a baselayer (like you would a fleece) I get the feeling that I need a fleece underneath as well.

Warmth and pack size are excellent, but the sizing is completely bonkers.

Overall: frustrating - wish I'd gone for PHD

I'm probably going to have to bail Dave, as we have no kit and my +1 wants to go on a course specifically to try out gear before buying

 sorry, maybe next year

Hello Dave, just 2 questions

1) What technical equipment (if any) is provided? (IOW what would I need to bring?)

2) What time on the Sunday would it finish?

 Definitely interested in 2 places

thanx

Phil

was there last summer and there's a campsite out of the centre that had a cellar where you could leave stuff at a really cheap rate. All i can remember is that you go past a pizza place and then a small shopping precinct (with a really good gear shop selling lots of mammut stuff) to get to it; about a ten minute walk from town centre

good luck
