Guy brings up a very good point.

Why are independants reluctant to price match or come down on price?. My way of thinking is that IF they are prepared to haggle then Im more inclined to try them first (this doesnt just apply to outdoors stuff it could be any product) if they do then I then I could be taking to a friend about the new purchase and mention that I got a deal on it they couold be interested and instead of going to the big box store they could try this local indie shop get a deal and tell their friends etc etc. I think if you talk to many of your friends about stuff like this most would be willing to pay a small amount more if it came from an indie and more inportantly (to me) should i be unsure I can get sound advice from somebody who knows what they are talking about as opposed to a school kid earning pocket money

I dont own one, but spent 3 nights in a limelight 3p, they are very good tents, easy to put up and enough room and has big vestibules, being a Marmot the quality is good.

I think we should support the independants before we go to GO outdoors, even if we do have to pay more. Use them or loose them

Ive had 1 seam fail on me, only about 11/2" and repaired as per WD above. I used it skiing at w/end and the hood will even fit a ski helmet, Im happier with the jacket now than when I bought it.
