I had flu when I was 14, I was in hospital for 10 days, man I was ill, genuinely though I was going to die. Couldnt move, thew up at the sight of food, hardly slept as my chest kept filling with snotty stuff and had to stay sat upright. Not nice.
So agree with above, if you can get out of bed, you dont have flu.
Hope you all had a great Christmas, and Happy New Year to you too.
I've been absent over the hols and last week picked up a virus which I am just getting rid of. Seemed to effect my head only.
It felt like my head was being inflated with a bicycle pump, whilst someone was playing chopsticks on the back of my eyeballs with a toffee mallet.
TBW, my ankles have been sore these few weeks, after having recovered from the fall, I put it down to the cold and damp weather. I'm sure we will both improve in warmer times. (Whenever they come).
Had a few days out in mid Wales hills, but not much snow action. Anyone else get out into the snow, other than the adventurous Little Miss Maria?
Spent the day walking in the Mortimer Forest again. About 8" of snow hereabouts so roads are a bit dodgy, cant drive up any lanes cos they havent been treated/cleared.
Many paths had no traffic since Tuesdays/Wednesdays snow, so it was quite tiring walking uphill through 8" fresh snow on uneven ground. Took 50% longer to cover the ground.
Several sightings of deer, one herd of a dozen out in the open, thats unusual, must be hungry.
Pretty cold in a freshening wind, but very scenic in (occasional) sunshine. Forgot the camera, which is typical.
