I think I have a sachet of Tech Wash left over from years back somewhere (won a load in a Nikwax competition!).

This is my job for the weekend!

Cool - cheers, will get the soda cryastals/white vinegar sorted in the next couople of days and then have a go at it.  I think I have some techwash left... not sure if there is any TX Direct, but I can get that down the road if needs be!

Yeah, that was my thought to try and salvage something.  It needs to be breathable otherwise it is boil in the bag time!

My eVent jacket accidentally went through a wash with Bold 2 in 1 - is this a complete disaster or is tere anything that can be done to salvage the situation?

Is a new mountain biking jacket going to be in my near future???

Cheers!  Hoping that having two munchkins now is going to force me to get out more (rather than spend my weekends motorbiking and drinking... not at the same time of course!)

Cathy - no time to try before I buy as I don't really need it until Spring... and they are currently on sale (about £200 off).  

Decided to get one anyway and hope for the best!  It is the closest tent to what I am looking for which comes in at a price that I can justify.  The new mountian bike is going to have to wait for a bit, but I can enjoy this with the whole family so that is a win!  Shall write a review after it's first outing
