   what Guy said...yes I use Rab powerstretch. for walking,sleeping,

  and when nature calls in the night you are ready for that also ... for all but hot weather.

 in the rain all I use is Montane featherlights pants for wind/rain/warmth. the "tights" dry out if they get damp at all, you dont notice any as there is no cold wet flapping trousers around your legs as its in direct contact with your skin, so any dampness is not felt and dries out in seconds.

I have both and love the litespeed.......

the vapourise I use, but not sure why as its too warm for 3 season often? and too cold without.

is'nt waterproof but I nikwaxed it to improve it...the hood isn't very good for wind OR rain????

the best thing for me is, it is very comfy next to skin...but the rest???

conversly I have two pairs of VR pants that I love for winter or sleeping in/camp wear 3 season use..the inners dry quickly but not the outer particularly??? again super comfy next to skin but not waterproof..so mixed reviews.

 correct size etc as mentioned....does seem prob.you need a large?

 but also hip belt should be "on" the Iliac crest (hips).

 but not above (waist)or around hips (lower)

also use the load lifter straps to ajust and bring load closer to your centre of gravity
