Salomon Exit Low approach shoes. Great sole, v comfortable etc but the leather keeps detaching itself from the rubber at the front. I'm on my 4th pair now, and although Salomon are very good about replacing them, it's annoyting having to take them back to the shop all the time, send them back, get new ones etc. Plus the shop staff are starting to take the piss now!! Has anyone else had a problem with these shoes?

Thanks Simon and Ben. I've gone for the GTX ones (had to order them this morning or miss out on a deal). I'll see what they're like this winter and post a review in a few months.

Should I go for Goretex lined boots or not? I'll be wearing them mainly in the UK and Alps to do winter walking/easy ice routes and some scrambling.
