(This is not a for sale or wanted thread as such, simply a quick point of buyers feedback related to a recent forum sale.

I'm sure everyone is well aware of the problems inherent to private purchases on forums.  I have personally found buyer feedback to be rather useful in this regard).

I recently purchased a POD Thin Ice from forum user, John John.

Despite issues with internet access his communication was excellent, the packaging was more robust than many commercial outlets traditionally use, and the item itself was in virtually perfect condition.

Absolutely first class.  Very many thanks John!

I've used the 2 man version.

Rock solid in high winds and bone dry in severly wet.

Sold on to another OM member simply because I bought a larger tent.

Highly recommended.

What will she be doing while there? - I ask as this will largely dictate what level of protection she might require.  I was there for ten days, two years ago this February.

I have worn the Barrier in all but the heaviest of showers, even when it was clearly at its limit it didn't wet through and I was warm.

This is quite possibly the best piece of outdoor kit I have ever purchased and almost always the first to be packed.

They are relatively generous.

I am normally a medium, and the medium in the Incinerator I had was on the larger side (i.e. easily closer to a large).

Unless you're pushing the upper end of large into extra large, then you may well find that it's a good fit.

(oh, and I forgot to add that they are very, very good, robust and warm weatherproof down jackets)
