Lots of snow in the west of Scotland. Had a fantastic day on Beinn Achaladair and Beinn a'Chreachain (near Bridge of Orchy)yesterday. Snow over the knees in drifts. A bit nippy mind, -6C at the carpark and somewhat colder on the top with the windchill. The views were stunning, possibly some of the best I've experienced.
The snow was beginning to freeze, so an ice axe and maybe crampons may be required for the next wee while.

I think the biggest danger posed with any new development is the pound signs that construction companies see. This often results in either half thought out proposals or ones that are unrealistically budgeted. Consequently ineffective or very expensive developments arise.
Examples: Holyrood, Millenium dome, improvements to train tracks etc., etc.
