Welcome to the Mountain Marathon from OutdoorsMagic designed to make the UK's best outdoors site even better plus inject a bit of fun into participating in the community.
Just by doing more of the things you already do here on OutdoorsMagic.com like submitting forum posts, equipment reviews, routes, posting great photos to the gallery that get commented on and discussing the articles we write you'll be rewarded with virtual points, assigned levels, badges and bonus awards. You'll discover that the more you get involved in the site the higher you move up the Mountain Marathon Leaderboard.
Mountain Marathon points will continue to accumulate over time so you won't lose the points, levels and badges you accrue however the competition will reset each month so if you miss out in the first month don't worry there will be further bites at the cherry.

This scheme is all about making the member content on the UK's best outdoors site even better, and it relies a lot on trust. We know it won't be hard to abuse the system, but any abuse will lead to virtual penalties and, if necessary, exclusion from the scheme.
When a prize is being offered, the main prize will be awarded to one person from the top five placings on the Leaderboard each month, who in the editors opinion, has contributed most usefully to the site over the course of the competition with the remaining two runners up prizes being selected from the top ten using the same criteria.
