Petzl's Hot New Torch - Update

We brought you some scoop pics of the new Petzl e+LITE torch due out in October but they were taken through glass and consequently a little shiny. Don't despair though, we now have official Petzl pics of the little blighter and complete tech spec.

Just to recap, the e+LITE is a 27-gramme semi-emergency torch that features a lot of super cunning touches like an integral clothing and strap clip, lots of different settings including red-light options and runs on two ultra-lightweight and thankfully cheap, lithium watch batteries.

So what else can we tell you? Well, this is how it looks in official photos a la Posh and Becks...

Otherwise the spec's as we told you before, though we didn't mention that the light is mounted on a ball-joint with 360-degree movement or that it's certified to be used in explosive environments.

Petlz is also very concerned that we're very careful to spell e+LITE just like that, because it's pronounced 'EE - LIGHT' and they don't want it being written as e-lite and that being bastardised to 'elite', like elite racers and, well, you've been warned, or more to the point, we have.

The Petzl e+LITE - see how we did that - is due in the shops this October and will be priced at £25.
