Christmas Cracker Twelve - Funky Poles...

Gear news in association with
eVent Fabrics

What do you buy for the outdoor person who has everything? Between now and Christmas, we'll be running a daily Christmas Cracker featuring an inspired Christmas gift idea to help you cope with that tricky purchasing situation.

Number 12: Funky Trekking Poles

Trekking poles eh? How dull can you get? Well, not any more thanks to the launch of a new range of whackily coloured poles from Switch Sticks.

The company says that their research and feedback from customers shows that they feel more comfortable using poles with more fashionable styling and graphics that 'match their mood or outfit' and founder Vicky Mitchell says 'you can have fun and really demonstrate your personality'.

You're still getting a decent trekking pole just in a choice of colours. The Switch Sticks are made using 6066 alloy, are telescopic and in three sections with a secure locking mechanism and have an anti-shock mechanism built in. Length is adjustable from 70cm to 145cm.

Prices start at £24.99 plus postage and packing and they come packaged in a poster tube-type box for easy Christmas wrapping. If you want one for this year's stocking though, you have until 4pm today, Tuesday, so you'd best be quick :-)

Full details and online ordering at www.switchsticks.com or you can buy from retailers throughout the UK.
