Scarpas For Narrow Feet

Gear news in association with
eVent Fabrics

This isn't exactly brand spanking new news, but we suspect that the new for 2007 Scarpa Infinity GTX and Infinity GTX Lady have snuck in below many an outdoors news radar.

On the face of it, there's nothing too remarkable about the new boots. They look like many other lightweight walking boots with a Cordura and suede upper, Gore-Tex lining and proven Skywalk sole.

What makes them different is that the Skywalk models have been designed to cater for walkers with a lower volume heel and arch. That should be welcome news for anyone who's been impressed by Scarpa's excellent reception in gear reviews, but has found their feet swimming around in the brand's classic medium to high volume fit.

Even better we now have a pair of Infinity GTX Lady to test and a pair of suitably narrow OUTDOORSmagic test feet to try them out on. The sort of feet that normally find Scarpa way too sloppy. We'll be using them over Christmas and New Year then reporting back.

First impressions are that they have the solid build quality you'd expect from Scarpa and while 1100 grammes for a pair of size 38s isn't ultra-lightweight, it's still respectably light. And they look nice too...
