Mountain Mutt Triggers Pet Rescue

The silly season's come slightly early, what with today being sunny and all, so for a change we bring you the momentous story from the Aberdeen Independent of how a dog kicked off a mountain rescue...

Apparently the mountaineering mutt - who'd probably seen too much Rockface - took a tumble down a gully on Lochnagar, which coincidentally was Queen Victoria's favourite mountain.

Members of the Lochnagar rescue team were training in the area at the time and were reportedly called in to rescue the unhappy hound. However the dog was discovered with a broken leg before they managed to reach him.

Now that's what we call and inconsequential Monday morning story... To read the even less interesting original, click here.
